Rebecca Soderholm was born and raised in upstate New York. She received a B.F.A in Photojournalism from Rochester Institute of Technology and an M.F.A. in Photography from Yale University. Soderholm was named the Meredith S. Moody Artist-in-Residenceat Yaddo in 2013 and has been an artist-in-residence at the Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts (2014, 2017) and at the Sol LeWitt/Doran Residency in Praiano, Italy (2013). Her work has been shown in several solo exhibitions, including League of Peace & Power (2015) at the Korn Gallery at Drew University, Rebecca Soderholm: Cresendoe (2013) at the Warehouse Gallery at Syracuse University, and League of Peace & Power (2014) and Upstate: Photographs & Videos (2012) at 511 Gallery. Her photographs have also been shown in numerous group exhibitions, including Confronting Place: Lisa Lebofsky & Rebecca Soderholm (2016) in SUNY Adirondack Visual Arts Gallery. League of Peace & Power is in the permanent collection at the Yale University Art Gallery and the Smith College Museum of Art. Soderholm is currently an Assistant Professor at Drew University.
